The Patriots took on El Paso Irvin on 4 January 2024 during the opening day of the SAISD Tournament. The Patriots were ready for their first game of the regular season. The Patriots controlled the ball through the first half and were able to press the Irvin back line repeatedly. The Patriots had numerous opportunities and were able to break through to notch the first goal of the season and take the lead. The Patriots went into halftime leading 1-0. The Patriots continued with the momentum in the second half. Irvin tried to find a way back into the game but the stout Patriot defense was up to the task of limiting their opportunities in the defensive end. The Patriots continued to press the Irvin defense and were able to get one more goal off of a penalty kick. The final score was 2-0 in favor of the Patriots. Izaiah Garza and Ramiro Garza each scored 1 goal apiece. Rodrigo Lozano-Munoz had 1 assist. Anthony Arreola put up the first clean sheet of the season between the pipes. The Patriots played Medina Valley in the second game of the day at the SAISD Tournament on 4 January 2024.
