VARSITY BASEBALL WEEK 2 RAISING CANES TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Varsity Baseball Week 2 Raising Canes Tournament Results

COACH RIVERA

Coach Rivera | 3/2/2026

Our Patriots Varsity Baseball team competed in a grueling five-game tournament this past weekend. While we faced some of the top-ranked programs in the region, I am incredibly proud of how our student-athletes stayed resilient through the ups and downs of a long weekend.
We saved our best for last, ending the tournament with a massive statement win! Here is a brief look at the weekend’s performance:
Tournament Game-by-Game
vs. Alexander (L 13-3): A tough opening matchup against a high-powered offense. J. Ulrich and A. Ocaña showed great grit, fighting back to put runs on the board in the later innings.
vs. Vandegrift (L 12-0): A defensive battle against a disciplined opponent. V. Mata and N. Munoz provided the offensive highlights with solid hits.
vs. Hays (L 5-4): The Game of the Weekend. This was a back-and-forth thriller. We rallied in the 7th inning with clutch hitting from E. Juarez and an RBI single by D. Basile, falling just one run short of a comeback.
vs. Reagan (L 18-3): Despite the score, the team started fast with a 3-run 1st inning, proving they can jump on elite pitching early.
vs. Del Valle (W 17-3): The Finale. The Patriots exploded for 17 runs!
D. Basile hit a massive Home Run and a Triple.
E. Juarez and V. Garcia combined for multiple extra-base hits.
V. Garcia was dominant on the mound, recording 8 Strikeouts.

Thank you for your continued support of these young men in the classroom. They represented Veterans Memorial with class and never stopped competing.
Go Patriots!
