Our Veterans Memorial Varsity Patriots have been busy on the diamond this past week, competing in the Pearsall Tournament. I wanted to share a quick update on their performance and provide the schedule for the upcoming week.
It was an explosive stretch for our offense, highlighted by scoring 29 runs across our two biggest wins!
Last 4 Games: Results & Highlights
vs. Hondo (L 12-2) A tough start, but the boys kept fighting. D Basile and J Ulrich led the effort with hits, while A Ocaña showed great discipline at the plate.
vs. Pleasanton (W 8-5) A gritty comeback win! We trailed early but exploded for 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th. C Ramos and D Basile provided the clutch hits that swung the momentum in our favor.
vs. Cotulla (W 18-3) A complete offensive clinic. The highlight of the game was a 3-run Home Run by D Basile (2nd of the season). C Ramos added a triple, and V Garcia was dominant both on the mound and at the plate.
vs. Pearsall (W 11-1) We finished the tournament strong with a dominant performance. D Basile threw a gem on the mound, and our lineup stayed patient, drawing several key walks to set up a massive multi-run 4th inning.
