What a race! The San Antonio Patriots absolutely crushed it at Monterry Park this past Saturday, with some incredible performances from both the boys' and girls' teams. Their consistent dominance is truly something to celebrate!
Boys Division
The boys' team was a force to be reckoned with. In the 6-mile relay, the dynamic trio of Josh Pena-Baker (11:41.6), Davien Airhart (11:44.5), and Gael Realivazquez (11:19.6) blazed through the course to secure an impressive 32nd place out of 143 teams!
Not to be outdone, another powerful pack of Patriots—Diego Realivazquez (11:57.7), Fausto Castro (12:39.1), and Josh Ruiz (12:25.6)—finished in the top half, earning a fantastic 60th place. The team's deep roster and unwavering focus are a testament to their hard work.
Girls Division
The girls' team was just as phenomenal! The incredible relay team of Esperanza Pena-Baker (14:30.9), Natalie Ortiz (14:29.2), and Sofia Cordero (14:47.0) powered their way to a remarkable 29th place out of 115 teams.
Close behind, another group of fierce competitors—Samantha Bostick (16:20.2), Nela Sithong (14:18.7), and Morgan Carmony (14:28.4)—finished strong in 41st place. The girls' team is showing off their depth and potential, proving they are a force to be reckoned with.
What a day for the Patriots! With their sights set on their next competition at the SA ISD Meet, they are ready to chase down their season-best times.
