The San Antonio Patriots cross country team had an awesome day this past Saturday at the Brooks Med Campus meet, with every division delivering some seriously strong performances!

The boys' varsity team was on fire, led by the dynamic duo of Gael Realivazquez and Davien Airhart. These two are consistently incredible, both running sub-19-minute 5Ks. Gael clocked an impressive 18:20.2 and Davien wasn't far behind with 18:51.4, setting the pace and showing what a formidable squad they are.

Our boys' junior varsity team held their own in a huge field of 20 teams, securing a solid 14th-place finish. Fausto Castro was a standout, running an outstanding race with a time of 20:05.3 and nabbing 24th place overall. Talk about a great effort!

The girls' varsity squad brought the heat, with sophomore Morgan Carmony leading the charge. She ran a personal record of 22:22.2 to claim 22nd place individually. It's awesome to see her hard work pay off! The rest of the team wasn't far behind, showing off their growing strength and potential as a group.

And let's not forget the girls' junior varsity team, who had two top-15 finishers! Freshman Samantha Bostick blazed to 7th place with a time of 24:02.2, while sophomore Kori Saucedo-Rodriguez finished strong at 15th place with 24:14.9. These two stepped up big time and helped lead their team to a fantastic finish!

The Patriots are riding a wave of momentum as they gear up for next week's home district meet at Judson ISD. Let's go, Patriots!
