The Patriots took on Liberty Hill on 5 January 2023 in their second game of the day at the SAISD Tournament. The Patriots came out determined to get some momentum going and applied pressure to Liberty Hill from the very start. The Patriots found a tough opponent in Liberty Hill and both teams applied pressure offensively. Liberty Hill would find the back of the net first to take the lead off of an error by the defense. The Patriots would mount some offensive attacks however Liberty Hill remained strong and added one more to their tally. The Patriots went into halftime down 2-0. The Patriots came out in the second half strong and would keep the ball in the Liberty Hill half as they tested the Liberty Hill defense. The Patriots created multiple opportunities but in the end could not score a goal before time ran out. Liberty Hill was able to find the net two more times to close out the game. The final score was 4-0 in favor of Liberty Hill. The Patriots next play Waelder in the SAISD Tournament on 6 January 2023 to finish out pool play.
