The Patriots took on Eagle Pass on 6 January 2023 as they started Silver Bracket play in the SAISD Tournament. The Patriots came out with a desire to close out the day on a positive note and started off strong against Eagle Pass. The Patriots looked crisp as they found a way to move the ball forward with quick passing as they kept Eagle Pass on their heels. The Patriots played Eagle Pass back and forth in a hard fought game. Eagle Pass would recover a turnover and score to take the lead. The Patriots went into halftime down 1-0. The second half was a battle between both teams as each was able to pressure the other. The Patriot defense would give up one more in the opening minutes of the second half but would hold fast for the remainder of the game. The Patriots did press the goal repeatedly and were rewarded with a goal of their own. The Patriots would gain the momentum but it would not be enough in the end. The final score was 2-1 in favor of Eagle Pass. Rodrigo Lozano-Munoz had the lone goal and Anthony Arreola had the assist. Dustin Ynman had 8 saves. The Patriots next face Burbank to finish out the Silver Bracket on 7 January 2023 at the SAISD Sports Complex.
