The Patriots took on the Reagan JVA on 13 January 2023 during the second day of the Smithson Valley Ranger Classic. The Patriots came out looking to continue their momentum from the previous day and started to try to set the pace early to force Reagan to play defensively as the Patriots attempted to press the back line. Reagan would not back down and would answer with a flurry of chances themselves however the Patriot defense would stand strong and was up to the task of keeping Reagan off the board. The Patriots went into halftime tied 0-0. The Patriots showed grit in the second half as they fought off multiple attacks from Reagan but then were able to win momentum as the Patriots found a way to flip the field. Reagan would continue to have chances however and would score off of unfortunate play by the Patriots. The Patriots would refuse to give in and fought for every play. The Patriots tenacity was rewarded as they were able to find the net in the final seconds of the game off of a corner kick. The final score was 1-1. Cody Lugo had the lone goal. Dustin Ynman had 11 saves. The Patriots will finish out the Ranger Classic against Rowlett on 14 January 2023.
