The Patriots took on Champion on 2 February 2023 in Boerne. The Patriots came out in the first half playing hard against Champion in a back and forth battle which provided opportunities for both teams. Champion would strike first with two quick goals to take the lead. The Patriots continued to work hard to keep the score within reach going into halftime. The Patriots went into halftime down 2-0. The second half proved much of the same as both teams battled to find the back of the net. The Patriots continued to play hard as they looked to capitalize on various opportunities that they created. The Patriots defense would find themselves pressed and Champion would knotch one more to take them game out of reach. The final was 3-0 in favor of Champion.
