The Patriots took on Canyon Lake on 15 September 2023 at D.W. Rutledge Stadium in a non-district game. The Patriots were looking for a fast start to gain momentum against a dynamic Canyon Lake team, however, after several miscues on offense, the Patriots found themselves behind early in the first quarter. The Patriots settled down with some key defensive plays to keep the Patriots in the ball game. The offense found their mojo and were able to start moving the ball with their fast paced rhythm to quickly get the Patriots back out in front. The Patriots were able to keep the lead going into halftime by a stellar defensive play that resulted in an interception in the endzone. The Patriots went into halftime leading 28-21. The Patriots built on their momentum from the first half to start pulling away from Canyon Lake like a force of nature that would not be denied. The Patriots pulled ahead into a commanding lead but Canyon Lake tried some late game moves to put them in a position to get back in the game but it was too late after an incredible stand by the defense to close out their chances. The final score was 50-43. Clinton Dixon had 1 rushing touchdown and a pass to Jeremiah Darden for 1 touchdown. Tayveon Warren Adams had 3 rushing touchdowns. Jeremiah Darden had 2 rushing touchdowns and 1 touchdown reception. Rafael Nunez was perfect from the PAT spot going 6 for 6. Michael Irving led the team with 16 tackles.
