The Patriots took on Burbank on 10 November 2023 at the San Antonio ISD Sports Complex in a first round bi-district championship playoff game. The Patriots were chomping at the bit to get the game started. The energy was electric as the Patriots took the field to start their postseason run. The Patriots took control of the game early and would never look back. The Patriots dominated the game on both sides of the ball. The stellar Patriot defense suffocated an explosive Burbank offense, never letting them find any rhythm while making tremendous plays to force turnovers and give the offense the ball. The Patriot offense then methodically tore through the Burbank defense leaving them in shambles. The Patriots went into halftime leading 42-0. Burbank came out in the second after making some changes that allowed them to start a drive down the field but it puttered out due to the unbreakable Patriot defense. The defense would make some adjustments and never allowed Burbank to get on the board earning a shutout for the first time this year. The Patriot offense continued to show its explosiveness as they scored two more to close out the game. The final was 56-0 in favor of the Patriots. James Peoples had 3 rushing touchdowns. Clinton Dixon had 1 rushing touchdown and threw for 1 touchdown. Ben Toney had 1 receiving touchdown. Jeremiah Darden had 1 rushing touchdown. Taveyon Warren Adams had 1 rushing touchdown. Hondo Lopez had 1 passing touchdown. Ja’Kwon Downing had 1 receiving touchdown. Rafael Nunez was perfect from the PAT spot going 8 for 8. Sebastian Walker was the defensive player of the game. The Patriots will next face Flour Bluff in the second round of the playoffs on 17 November at D.W. Rutledge Stadium.
