The Patriots took on Taft on 11 January 2024 during the first day of the Harlandale Tournament. The Patriots started the game pressuring the Taft defense early with multiple attacks on the net but the Taft defense held strong. Taft would find offensive pressure of their own and it would be a tough fought game with both teams trying to break through the defenses. Taft however would be first to strike and take the lead. Taft would capitalize off defensive miscues building their lead by two more. The Patriots would close out the first half with multiple shots on goal but would fail to find the back of the net. The Patriots went into halftime down 3-0. The Patriots came out in the second half determined to step up to the task of regaining control of the game. The Patriots started to set the tempo but were unlucky in a clearance as Taft knotted one more on the board. The Patriots would get one from a penalty kick but would not be able to find the net after that. The final score was 4-1 in favor of Taft. Rodrigo Lozano-Munoz had 1 goal. Anthony Arreola had 9 saves. The Patriots face Jefferson next in the tournament on 11 January 2024.
