The Patriots took on Pieper on 30 January 2024 at Pieper. The Patriots started the half trying to find their tempo as they had to sustain attacks from Pieper in the opening minutes. Pieper would capitalize early on some defensive miscues by the Patriots to take the lead by two. The Patriots would slowly find their legs and start to provide pressure of their own against the Pieper defense. The Patriots offense would be rewarded with quick play on the counterattack to cut the lead by one.
