The Patriots opened the season against the Davenport Wolves under the lights at Davenport. The Patriots were able to get an early stop and give the offense the ball. The teams would go back and forth but the Patriots would strike first. The Patriots would continue to have success as they rode the momentum and scored again to go up one more against the Wolves. The Wolves would start to gain momentum as they were able to score a touchdown and kick a field goal to bring the game within two. The Patriots went into halftime leading 12-10. The Patriots came out in the second half and traded blows with the Wolves. The Wolves were able to block a punt and score to swing momentum their way. The Patriots fought back and kicked a field goal to bring the score back within three. The Wolves made some adjustments and were able to keep the Patriots off the board for the rest of the game and scored two more to seal the win. The final score was 32-15 in favor of the Wolves.
