The Patriots took on Burbank on 5 September 2024 at D.W. Rutledge Stadium in a tough non-district game. The Patriots received the ball to start the game but through a folly of unfortunate events found themselves on their heels giving up a safety as Burbank capitalized on the Patriots errors. The Patriots were able to start to settle down and find their game to get the ball moving in the right direction. The Burbank defense was stout but the Patriots would put six on the board to gain some momentum. Burbank would answer back as the two offenses would exchange blows in the second quarter. The Patriots would cap another drive with a field goal. The Patriots defense would stonewall the Burbank offense for the Patriots and allow the offense to score once more before halftime. The Patriots went into halftime leading 15-9. The Patriots came out in the second ready to bring the fight to Burbank. Burbank would strike first, taking the lead. The Patriot defense would hold strong then and force Burbank into multiple three and outs giving the Patriots the opportunity to close down the gap on the board. The Patriots would find a crease in the Burbank defense and take another to the house taking back the lead. Burbank would answer the Patriots score with one of their own for another lead change. The Patriots would tie it with a field goal. Burbank was able to take the lead with a late fourth quarter drive. The Patriots would never give up and would continue to fight until the final whistle. The final score was 31-24 in favor of Burbank. Dallas Harrell had 2 touchdown passes to Ben Toney and 1 rushing touchdown. Rafael Nunez had 2 field goals with the longest being 39 yards. Tyler Drake led the team with 16 tackles. The Patriots next face MacArthur on 13 September 2024 at D.W. Rutledge Stadium.
