The Patriots took on La Vernia in their home opener on 30 December 2024 to open the season. The Patriots came out moving the ball around well and keeping the play on the La Vernia side of the field. The Patriots defense was solid during the 1st half and stymied the La Vernia offense. The Patriots offense had multiple chances to put one in the net but were unlucky in the finish. The Patriots went into halftime tied 0-0. The Patriots started the second half strong and put the first goal of the season on the board. The Patriots would find the net a second time to widen the lead however La Vernia would answer with one of their own to keep the game close. The Patriots settled into the half and would continue to frustrate the La Vernia team. The Patriots scored one more time but La Vernia answered to bring the game back within reach. The Patriots powered through adversity in the final minutes to hang on to the game and open their season with a win. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Patriots. Ramiro Garza had 1 goal, Roel Garza had 1 goal, and Fausto Castro had 1 goal. Manny Pruneda had 2 assists and Elijah Galloway had 1 assist. The Patriots next play St. John Paul II on the opening day of the SAISD Tournament on 2 January 2025.
