The Patriots took on Alamo Heights on 17 January 2025 at the UTSA Sports Athletic Complex. The Patriots started the half trying to find their tempo as they had to sustain attacks from Alamo Heights in the opening minutes. Alamo Heights would capitalize early on some defensive miscues by the Patriots to take the lead. The Patriots would slowly find their legs and start to provide pressure of their own against the Alamo Heights defense. The Patriots offense would frustrate the Alamo Heights back line with quick play on multiple counter attacks but the Alamo Heights defense would stand their ground. The Patriots would create some clear opportunities as they continued to press the back but were unfortunate in the execution. The Patriots went into halftime down 1-0. The Patriots came out in the second determined to press Alamo Heights and would mount some solid attacks but would get frustrated in the final third by the Alamo Heights defense. Alamo Heights would find the net after mounting their own attacks. The Patriots would finally be rewarded for their hard work with a penalty kick to cut the lead to one. Alamo Heights kept a strong offensive presence against the Patriot defense and found the game winning goal. The final was 3-1 in favor of Alamo Heights. Fausto Castro had 1 goal.
